Chapter Introduction

It was a holiday, and the market was full of people. The toy shop opened at 9 a.m. There were many toys in the shop like wooden toys, soft toys, board games, bats, balls, marbles, dolls, a toy elephant, spinning tops, a toy phone, and even a Vande Bharat toy train.
All the toys were waiting eagerly to see who would buy them.
First, two girls came near the shop, but they only looked through the window and went away. The toys felt sad.
Then, a girl and a little boy came with their father. The girl chose the board game “Snakes and Ladders.” The toys sighed again.
After that, a woman and her son entered the shop. The toys were excited. A talking doll and a toy elephant wished to be chosen. The little boy asked his mother (Aayi) to buy the Vande Bharat toy train. She bought it, and the boy was very happy.
Later, two girls came in. One bought marbles, and the other bought a toy aeroplane.
Then, a group of children entered the shop. One girl chose a toy elephant. A boy with a red cap bought a spinning top. Another boy chose dancing dolls. All the children left the shop happily with their toys.
The story shows that toys bring joy to children, and choosing a toy is always exciting.
