Lines in yoga poses

✅ AnswerStanding poses (like Tadasana) show vertical lines. Poses with arms or legs stretched at an angle show slanting lines. Bending poses (like Chakrasana or Dhanurasana) show curved lines. Lying poses (like Shavasana) show horizontal lines. Look at each picture in your book and mark it.

Thread activity

✅ AnswerThe tight thread (sleeping, standing, or slanting) is straight. When you bring your hands closer, it becomes a curved line. Standing, sleeping, and slanting lines are all straight lines.

Make designs

✅ AnswerJoin dots with straight lines to make a house, star, or boat. Use curved lines for clouds and rainbows. Paper folding: each fold makes a straight crease. Folds from corner to corner make slanting lines. You can’t make a curved crease by simply folding, so curves are made by rolling or bending the paper.

👨‍👩‍👧 Tips for Parents

  • Do a few yoga poses together and name the lines your bodies make.
  • Look for lines in Warli or Madhubani art.
  • Fold paper and trace the creases with crayons.
